Sonos teased in emails and social media that its “most popular product ever” will be “coming soon” on Tuesday, May 21. Of course, these are almost certainly the Sonos Ace, its first wireless headphones.
Sonos is expected to launch the Ace in June, but given the company’s “most popular” wording here and the fact that the headphones were recently sold by authorized reseller Schuurman, it seems likely they’ll be available sooner than that.
The launch of the new app this week may help Sonos alleviate some of the anger surrounding the launch of the new app earlier this month. The app was ostensibly created to support Sonos Ace, but lacks a sleep timer or key features related to local library management.
