The administration of Soros-backed Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón has been dealt a major blow as one of his top officials charged with upholding “ethics and integrity” faces 11 serious counts Felony charges.
According to FOX 11, Teran was actively involved in managing critical law enforcement databases and was accused of illegally accessing more than 1,600 peace officer files.
Tran’s case is related to an incident involving Joseph Iniguez, who was controversially arrested in December 2021 for traffic violations and suspicion of driving under the influence.
Iniguez, who was later promoted to chief deputy district attorney, allegedly had a confrontation with police while under the influence of alcohol and disrupted the investigation.
In the video, Inigos can be heard asking the deputy about running license plates. Inigos confidently told the police: “You stopped the wrong person. Let me tell you.”

On Tuesday, Fox News’ Bill Melugin obtained an arrest affidavit detailing the case against Tran.
According to the examined affidavit portal expertTeran committed multiple violations of Penal Code Section 502(c) involving the unauthorized access and use of information on the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s computers, computer systems and computer networks.
According to the affidavit, while working for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office (LADA) in 2021, Teran accessed and used sensitive information from LASD systems that she had accessed while working in 2018.
The data included information from LASD peace officer personnel files, internal emails and documents involving multiple peace officers. The investigation showed that Tran’s behavior constituted 11 violations of criminal law.
Additionally, the affidavit also highlights that Teran was able to identify 33 deputy sheriffs who were the subject of administrative investigations and civil service lawsuits, although LADA’s data analysis and research team has uncovered only a handful of such cases over the years. It is also recommended that some of the documents provided by Teran to external parties are derived directly from the LASD archive.

Prior to joining Gascon’s office, Teran had oversight of the Sheriff’s Department and had access to more than 1,600 confidential law enforcement documents and documents related to internal affairs investigations.
She left the Sheriff’s Department in 2018, but after joining Gascón’s office in 2021, she allegedly continued to use material from those files, which she is now accused of illegally obtaining and accessing.
“Teran repeatedly used data from LASD personnel files as well as internal emails and documents to covertly attempt to add the names of peace officers to LADA’s Brady and ORWITS databases.”
Tran’s defense attorney said he is confident she will defeat the state’s charges.
Inigos has not been charged or charged with wrongdoing related to the Tran case.
