Gunfire rang out on Saturday in what was described as an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
The former president held a rally in Butler, Pa., before several shots were fired and the Secret Service told him to “get down.”
Trump shook his fist at the crowd before walking off the stage – his campaign said he went to a medical facility and was “safe.”

After the incident, some sports superstars reacted, both condemning the actions and expressing support for Trump.
UFC fighter Evan Elder, who won a fight hours after the shooting, also yelled at Trump.
Sources told Fox News that the gunman was killed by a Secret Service counter-sniper team.
Trump confirmed he was “shot by a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear.”

“I want to thank the U.S. Secret Service and all law enforcement for their swift response to the recent shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to express my condolences to the family of the shooting victim. We rally to the victims, and to The family members of another seriously injured person send their condolences,” he said in a statement.
