Recruitment of volunteers is in full swing, especially as the team’s 2026 recruitment begins to take shape.
After securing a commitment from elite 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon over the weekend, Tennessee secured a commitment from Rivals250 tight end Carson Sneed on Monday. Here are two blue-chip commitments within 72 hours Josh Huepel and company.
Snead returned to Rocky Top the last weekend in July.
“I’ve been to Tennessee countless times, and every time I left with a feeling that I wanted to spend the next three or four years of my college career there,” Snead told me opponent His commitment to the Vols.
“Rocky Top feels like home,” he asserts. “That’s where my heart is.”
Heuepel and TE Coach Alec Abelne Donelson Christian, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound product from Nashville, Tenn., makes a solid impression. Sneed has been to Knoxville several times over the past few years.
The Vols have been thriving under Snead all summer long.
“Coach Hupp and Coach Abelin have been great to me,” he began. “Last Saturday in the film room and the plan the coaches put in place for me sounded great to me and fit my style.”
“Tennessee has been interested in me for a long time, so it wasn’t hard to narrow down my schools. Making the decision was difficult,” Sneed added. “Coach Abeln is the best tight ends coach in the country and he’s going to develop me in the best way possible.”
Sneed made calls for the Vols at Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan and other states.
Snead’s brother, Dayton Sneed, plays for Tennessee. This summer, the coaches further deepened their family bond.
“Everything in Tennessee screams my name,” Snead said. “It’s a family feeling, a group of guys who want to win right now, and that’s what I’m all about. I’m going to do my best to bring a national championship back to campus with my future teammates, and I believe we can make it happen this goal.
