A Democratic election worker in Harris County, Texas, has been charged with six felonies for rigging the 2022 midterm elections.
Democratic District Attorney Kim Ogg on Tuesday announced tampering and theft charges against elections worker Darryl Blackburn amid a shortage of paper ballots at 119 polling locations in Harris County.
The investigation found that many Republican precincts had insufficient paper ballots.
Darryl Blackburn was charged with tampering and theft. Harris County paid Blackburn $90,000 to distribute paper ballots to polling places while he worked a full-time job.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in November 2022 called for an investigation into “widespread problems” in the election in Harris County.
“I am calling for an investigation into the issues that pervaded last Tuesday’s election in Harris County,” Abbott said in 2022.
“Allegations of election improprieties in our state’s largest county may arise from anything from malfeasance to outright criminal conduct,” he added.
“Voters in Harris County are frustrated by confusion and delays, including lost keys, insufficient paper ballots in Republican precincts, staffing issues and more,” Abbott said.
“I am calling on the Secretary of State, the Attorney General’s Office and the Texas Rangers to investigate allegations of misconduct in the 2022 elections in Harris County,” he said.
“The voters of Harris County deserve to know what happened. Integrity in the election process is critical. To meet that standard, a thorough investigation is necessary,” he added.
“We know this was a failure,” said outgoing Democratic District Attorney Kim Ogg. “Mr. Blackburn not only stole thousands of dollars from Harris County because he lied about his timesheet, but more importantly, he stole an individual’s right to vote, which is a fundamental constitutional right in our democracy,” Because people on both sides have been put off from voting, stopped from voting in their voting, changed course in their voting.
Although there won’t be enough paper ballots at 119 Harris County polling places on Election Day 2022, Kim Ogle said Democratic election workers had no intention of influencing the outcome.
certainly.
Ogg did say, however, that Blackburn’s crime did affect the election.
The vast majority of voters on Election Day are Republicans, so the lack of paper ballots on Election Day certainly means Republicans are disenfranchised.
“I do want to say that the investigation found no evidence of an intent to influence the outcome of the election for either party,” Kim Ogg said. “But there is undeniable substantial evidence that Mr. Blackburn’s crimes did influence the election.”
What a joke!

KHOU 11 reports:
A former Harris County elections worker has been charged with six felonies after an investigation revealed he acted to disrupt the 2022 election. He also lied about his time working for the county, according to District Attorney Kim Ogg.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the suspect was motivated purely by greed.
Darryl Blackburn, 35, faces five counts of tampering with evidence, which carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison for each count. He was also charged with theft from a public servant and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Ogg said Blackburn turned himself in and bail was set at $65,000.
