2. Nimona (2023)
Set in a world that’s a crazy mix of medieval and pop-futurism, Nimona It tells the story of the kind knight Ballister Bodhart (voiced by Riz Ahmed), who became a heroic protector of the kingdom through the efforts of common people. Unfortunately, a man with old-school ideas about the class system isn’t too fond of this look of upward mobility, and Ballister finds himself being framed for the murder of the kingdom’s beloved Queen Valline (Lorraine Toussaint) .
Enter Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a rogue outcast with magical shape-shifting powers who embraces everyone’s fear of her playing the bad guy. Seeing Ballister’s downfall, Nimona thinks she has found a partner in her little villainy. Ballister claims his innocence but vehemently disagrees. But he needs her help, and the two eventually hit it off while on the run from the law, despite their differences.
Oddly enough, Ballister found herself a boyfriend, and Nimona’s transformation is Trans Representation 101 – a film from directors Nick Bruno and Troy Quinn (based on ND Stevenson 2015 ’s graphic novel adaptation)’s thrilling and hilarious adventure leads the way to the screen, all because of its big, beautiful, rainbow-colored heart. 9. The Lego Movie (2014)
It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years! But not before directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were able to make animation magic with the two of them (so far) Spider-Manverse In 2014, they set their scrappy sights on Legoland, creating this wildly fun and popular adventure about a man named Emmett Blikovsky (Chris Pratt) ), the story of a humble builder who manages to save the world.
What about that animation? The edgy movements of all LEGO figures remain true to their stiff plastic origins and are always fun.
