2. Justus Terry
The No. 1 defensive tackle in the class committed to Georgia early, which is not a shock at all. Terry is from the small town of Manchester, Georgia, and the Bulldogs targeted him early. The coaching staff developed a number of elite players at his position, all of whom went on to the NFL.
But after a stellar visit to USC in late March, Terry transferred from Georgia to Troy in a very surprising move. Georgia didn’t give up, though, and Terry recently returned to Athens.

3. Winston Watkins Jr.
Texas A&M made a promise early on that didn’t materialize. Then Watkins chose Colorado because of the coach Deion Sanders But then in November, the five-star receiver felt that committing so early was limiting his options and backed away from the commitment.
Programs from Ohio State to Indiana University, Mississippi State to Syracuse and every program in between showed interest in Watkins, who put his money on the line before making another commitment. Slowed down.

8. Micah DeBose
From the beginning of DeBose’s recruitment, the expectation was that Alabama would eventually sign the four-star prospect who could play offensive tackle or guard, but that may not be the case even after Georgia retires.
Alabama standout Prichard Vigor committed to the Bulldogs last January and his commitment lasted nearly a year before he rescinded his commitment just days before Christmas. LSU has emerged as DeBose’s primary contender, but the Crimson Tide is also in contention.

9. Zion Grady
Grady’s commitment to Alabama lasted about two months — and possibly longer if Nick Saban hadn’t retired. But Saban is gone, the four-star defensive end from Enterprise, Alabama, reneging on his commitment in January.
It looked like Auburn and Georgia would end up fighting for Grady, but no longer as the Bulldogs have slipped down the rankings and the four-star is now seriously considering Miami, Auburn, Ohio State, Florida State and Tennessee.

10. Anquan Fagans
Feagans committed to USC last May, shortly after his brother Tre’Quon announced he would transfer from Alabama to USC. But his brother entered the transfer portal, and by the end of August, Thompson, a four-star safety from Alabaster (Ala.), was back on the market.
Auburn is a popular program in his recruitment right now, and it would be a surprise if the Tigers didn’t package him.
Clemson University, the University of Mississippi and other universities are also involved.
