Less than two weeks ago, former Obama adviser David Axelrod lashed out at Joe Biden, saying he would lose to Trump in a landslide.
Now that Joe Biden is out of the race, Axelrod praises Biden for giving up power for the sake of the country. These people have no shame.
Joe Biden is not giving up anything voluntarily. Joe Biden was forced out of the race by David Axelrod, Obama, and Nancy Pelosi, among others, because they knew he would lose.
But to these people, narrative is more important than anything else. So the new story is that Biden is a heroic patriot because he decided to leave and his decision had absolutely nothing to do with him.

CNN’s Van Jones was almost in tears at Biden’s selfless decision.

Although he is old, his heart is still there. You know, words are not so clear, but love is clear. The heart is still there, and I think people need to pay attention to that because there’s someone sitting in that chair who’s not going to give up power no matter what. There will be no relinquishing power, no rebellion, no leaving that chair.
Even if people vote for him to leave the chair, he’s not going to leave the chair, and the people sitting in that same chair show that character does matter, show that you can have grace, you can be people-oriented, you can pass the baton, and you’ll thrive because of it. Become a bigger person.
