Here’s the official synopsis: “Mufasa: The Lion King Rafiki tells the legend of Mufasa, Timon and Pumbaa to Kiara, the lion cub, daughter of Simba and Nala. then performed their signature trick. The story is told in flashback, with Mufasa an orphan, lost and alone, until he meets a compassionate lion named Taka, the heir to the royal bloodline. This chance encounter sets off an extraordinary group of misfits on an expansive journey to find their destiny – and their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade threatening and deadly foes.
Mufasa: The Lion King With a large cast, starring Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka, John Kani Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner as the improvised Pumbaa and Timon. Blue Ivy Carter voices Kiara, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter voices Nala. Other voices in the cast include Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiway Newton, Lennie James, Arnie Carl Noni Ross, Keith David and Donald Glover.
Mufasa: The Lion King Hits theaters on December 20th.
