“Death to America!” We are used to this slogan. Maybe I’m too used to it.
If you’re old enough, you may have heard this phrase during the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis, when supporters of Ayatollah Khomeini invaded the U.S. Embassy in Tehran.
Since then, it has become a recurring theme in Islamic fundamentalism, along with the “death of Israel”. Khomeini even declared that the United States was the “Great Satan” to incite religious fanaticism among Muslims and aim to destroy the United States.
Since then, we have heard thousands of “Death to America” cries around the world. In 2001, when the World Trade Center was destroyed in a terrorist attack and thousands of innocent lives were lost there, at the Pentagon, and in the fields of Shanksville, Pennsylvania, from the West Bank, from Gaza, from Somalia and the entire Muslim world.
But now it’s closer to home. In fact, chants of “Death to America” are being heard on American soil, with some naïve commentators treating them as speech protected by the First Amendment. No big deal. A Supreme Court justice once told us that the Constitution is not a suicide pact, but if it were, then how could we tolerate thousands of newcomers treating anti-American speech as “free speech” when their goal is clearly destruction U.S?
Specifically, cries of “Death to America” were heard earlier this month at a rally in Dearborn, Michigan, for Al Quds Day, the anti-Israel holiday invented by Khomeini years ago . At a pro-Palestinian rally, spokesman Tarek Bazzi attacked Joe Biden for supporting Israel in the Gaza war, but added, “It’s not genocide that Joe has to go, it’s the entire system that has to go.” .Any system that allows for and supports this atrocity and evil – such a system should not exist on God’s earth.
Dearborn is the largest Muslim population center in the United States, so it’s no surprise to hear anti-Israel rhetoric there, but what we’re seeing over the next few days shows that we’re not just being targeted by hate speech; Being attacked by hateful acts.
On April 15, pro-Palestinian protesters closed the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. On the same day, in Oregon, protesters waving Palestinian flags blocked traffic in one direction on Interstate 5. Roads in Seattle and Chicago were also closed to prevent air travelers from entering terminals at those cities’ airports. It is a concerted effort and expected to be the first of many “aimed at maximum economic impact in the United States and elsewhere” to persuade countries to abandon Israel.
Welcome to the global uprising, another disastrous consequence of the Biden administration’s porous borders and irresponsible foreign policy.
The intifada refers specifically to two separate Palestinian uprisings in Gaza and the West Bank over the past four decades, but more broadly it involves ongoing Palestinian resistance to Israel’s presence. When they chant “Death to Israel,” they mean it. Congress’ first task now should be to determine whether they mean it when they chant “Death to America.”
The rise of pro-Palestinian hatred in America should not be a surprising development to anyone. Even before President Biden opened the southern border to millions of unvetted “new arrivals” (invaders, as the global elite likes to call them), the United States had already adopted a reckless policy two decades ago to re- Resettlement of Muslim refugees from Iraq, Libya, Somalia and Afghanistan. As immigration policies no longer view assimilation as a worthy goal, many refugees feel far more loyal to their home countries and religions than to the countries that provide them with safety and security.
I think this is a corollary to the globalist agenda of erasing borders and integrating diverse populations in order to share wealth and alleviate the guilt of billionaires.
But it’s inevitable only if the rest of us can tolerate it.
Meanwhile, Palestinians have learned their lesson about playing the victim card. Backed by left-wing media, they work tirelessly to convince the world that Hamas’s bloodthirsty killers are actually heroic freedom fighters. This is no accident. Since Hamas invaded Israel on October 7, Palestinian supporters have called on their supporters to “globalize the intifada”, a phrase that “calls on people around the world to join the intifada against Israel.”
The American Jewish Committee said that “Calls for ‘uprising globalization’ have created a sense that people around the world need to take action against supporters of Israel around the world. Many of the protests have been peaceful, but some have targeted Jews and their Institutions have taken violent action. There are many examples of the phrase being used, such as in Times Square, in front of the Consulate General of Israel in Manhattan, in central London, at Harvard University, and even at demonstrations on East Avenue in Brooklyn not far from Crown. Community of West Germany’s Jewish population and the birthplace of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
Just last week, pro-Palestinian students staged a disruptive protest at Columbia University, just as the school’s president, Minouche Shafik, was criticized by U.S. House committee members over the rise in anti-Semitism on campus. The same day as the cross-examination. “One of the issues that we’re actively debating right now is really clarifying the line where language goes from protected speech to discriminatory or harassing speech,” Shafiq testified.
As Islamist protests escalate in the coming months, this debate should soon come to an end, not just in Colombia but throughout the United States. If protesters disrupt civil society and threaten violence or rebellion, there is no doubt about the determination of free societies to fight back. The Justice Department doesn’t exist just to prosecute Trump supporters. Attorney General Merrick Garland had better act quickly to suppress the real insurrection that is about to sweep the country, or he and his president will be in for a whirlwind.
