Police are investigating why three people were attacked, two of them stabbed, just feet from Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade.
Santa Monica police responded Sunday to reports of a stabbing near Parking Lot 7 in the 1500 block of 4th Street.
According to the police report, officers immediately began performing CPR on one person.
The police department did not release the victim’s condition when officers found him. Police said the attacks were unprovoked.
Representatives of the Santa Monica Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment.
Police arrested 29-year-old Larry Ameyal Cedeno, according to authorities.
Court documents show Cedeno was on probation for a May 9 charge of attempted auto theft.
Cedeno is currently in Santa Monica Jail awaiting arraignment and formal filing of charges.
