Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said Donald Trump’s popularity is on the rise when asked about the Libertarian Party convention booing the former president.

When asked about Trump being booed, Scott said:
I saw a wave of red hats at the Liberal Party conference. Donald Trump’s popularity continues to rise, but he’s not just going to libertarian conventions. He also held rallies in the Bronx. What he’s doing I think is a 50-state strategy. He doesn’t just want to win the votes of the American people. He is working to win the hearts and minds of the American people, unite our country, and begin to guide us toward our strongest, most powerful, and most prosperous future. So I put a lot of trust in him and went where no Republican had gone before. If we’re going to win this election cycle, we’ve got to go to places where we’re not invited and see the former president take this seriously, and that’s a strong sign, in my opinion, and Dana we’re seeing the polls One reason is that the numbers are moving in his direction.

Trump is often loudly booed by liberals, leading Tim Scott to claim the former president’s popularity is growing. Senator Scott really wants to be Trump’s running mate, and he’s showing how low he’ll pay to get the job.
Boos don’t mean popularity, and as far as Trump’s strategy is concerned, he doesn’t campaign nearly every week. If he develops a 50-state strategy, the former president should cover all 50 states by the 2025 midterms.
Senator Scott knows better, but if it takes sounding like a delusional fool to cost himself the presidency as a failed, morbidly obese man, the senator from South Carolina will do or say anything talk.
