This year is the 10th anniversary edge of tomorrowis an excellent science fiction action film co-starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt and directed by Doug Liman. The film didn’t capture the world’s attention when it was released, but continues to gain new fans and is continually mentioned as a possible sequel.
While there’s no official word on the sequel, Liman did provide an encouraging update recently. Apparently, he and Cruise sat down and revisited the movie a few months ago. “Tom and I actually just re-watched it about two months ago because I hadn’t seen it in 10 years,” Liman told Empire magazine. “I was like, ‘Wow, that’s a really good movie.'” A rewatch doesn’t guarantee a sequel, of course, but it means it’s a good place to start preparing. “[Tom and I] Keep talking about it,” Liman said of a potential follow-up. “We love that world.”
It’s one thing to like it and another to rewatch it, but from a fan’s perspective, the constant teasing is confusing. the first gossip edge of tomorrow A sequel came out the year after release, and then there was basically some kind of update every year. There was even a title like this: live mold repeat and repeat. But, of course, nothing happened since then.
The biggest hint that this might actually happen, though, came earlier this year, when Cruise signed a film production deal with Warner Bros. (several movies) were made with Paramount. Plus, Cruise’s other latest project with Warner Bros., which we know he’s been considering, is edge of tomorrow. So the question is really not “if” but “when”.
