Trump posted on the Truth Community website:
It’s a terrible feeling to have your constitutional right to free speech, a vital part of life in our country, so unfairly taken away, especially when all the scumbags, scumbags, and liars you oppose are allowed absolutely Whatever they want when speaking. It’s hard to sit and listen to the lies and misrepresentations that are being leveled against you because you know that if you respond, even in the most humble way, a corrupt and highly ambivalent judge will tell you that you will be thrown in jail, maybe It’s been a long time.
This fascist mentality is all coming out of Washington, D.C. It’s a sophisticated crack job against crooked Joe Biden’s political opponents I! Judges Ngoren and Kaplan, both from New York, are equally corrupt, just in different ways. What these thugs are doing is an attack on the Republican Party and our once great country itself. Our First Amendment must be valid, free, and strong. “Give me freedom or give me death!”
Trump would be a complete martyr here because he fears being jailed, but he also thinks it will help him politically. What he doesn’t seem to understand is that being locked up isn’t going to help him at all. Incarceration will only serve to further convince the majority of Americans who already believe Donald Trump is a criminal.
Donald Trump doesn’t want to go to jail, but he’s trying to use his continued violations of his gag order to galvanize his supporters because so far, nothing has gotten them involved or interested in his trial.
The gag order ends Trump’s plans to use the trial as a campaign platform, so he can only play the victim on “Truth Social” and hope it appeals to his dwindling fan base.
