Former President Donald Trump said he proposed the “Immigrant Fighters Alliance” to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) executive and president Dana White.
Trump announced his thoughts on Saturday during a speech at the Faith and Freedom Alliance conference in Washington.
“I said, ‘Dana [White], I have an idea. Why not form a coalition of immigrant fighters? And has a regular warrior league. And then you have the champions of your league – who are the greatest warriors in the world – ‘fighting the champions of immigrants,'” Trump said.

Trump said White didn’t seem to like the idea.
“I think immigrants are probably going to win. That’s how tough they are. [White] I don’t really like the idea, but actually, it’s not the worst idea I’ve ever had.
While the idea was widely welcomed by conservatives on social media, the remarks sparked a backlash from liberals.
MeidasTouch contributor Ally Sammarco wrote that the idea was “completely crazy.”
