Trump said:
Listening to the accusations against the judge, you know, he was very conflicted and corrupt, very, very corrupt because of the conflict. Mother Teresa could not refute the accusations. These accusations are rigged. The whole thing is rigged. The country is in chaos between borders and sham elections. In such a trial, the judge was so conflicted that he couldn’t breathe. He’s got to do his job and start for me, I can tell you it’s a shame, I mean, Mother Teresa can’t beat these charges, but we’ll see, we’ll see what we do . This is a very shameful situation. \
Every legal scholar and expert says this is not an isolated case. It should not have been brought up, and it certainly could have been brought up seven years ago, not during a presidential election. Joe Biden did all this. This judge has done far worse for Joe Biden than that. But I’m not allowed to talk about it because my gag order is 1,000 times worse than that. Worst I’ve ever heard. But I can’t talk about it. It will be talked about, but I’m not allowed to talk about it, but it will be talked about in the history books. The level of weaponization taking place here is unprecedented. And that should be allowed to happen. So I’ll stay around here. It’s been five weeks and five weeks of essentially no campaigning.

After nearly a decade of Trump’s involvement in American politics, it’s easy to see the intent of his remarks. When Trump knows he’s in trouble or might fail, he preemptively accuses and makes excuses.
Trump’s views in his speech were the same as his tone after losing the 2020 election. Everything is rigged. This isn’t fair. Someone had deceived him.
Trump seems to know he’s going downhill, and he appears to be working to minimize the consequences of a possible felony conviction.
