After the judge’s motion for a mistrial was denied, Trump flew into a rage and launched into an angry tirade against the judge outside the courthouse.

Trump said:
Everyone has seen what happened today. I don’t think we need any explanation. I’m not allowed to do this anyway because this judge is corrupt. He is a corrupt judge. This judge, what he did and his ruling is a disgrace. Everyone has seen what happened today. He’s a corrupt judge, he’s a complete contradiction, and I have to get back on the campaign trail. I shouldn’t be here.
We are so innocent. There has never been anything like this. Having read every analyst, legal analyst, I am innocent, yet I am locked up in this courtroom with a corrupt judge who is a complete contradiction. Look at his contradictions. This is a disgrace to New York City, New York State and the nation.

Trump was furious after losing two motions in court. He lost a motion to relieve Stormy Daniels from her gag order, and then lost a motion for a mistrial based on Daniels’ testimony about spanking the former president with a magazine.
Trump bristled at the narrative that he had no control over what happened in court, but his complaints about the judge sounded like those of a defendant aware that he was about to be convicted.
The former president and his lawyers appear to be laying the groundwork to appeal his possible criminal conviction, and Trump’s tirade was one of his few remarks in the trial that had nothing to do with his campaign but about him of fate.
