Carlson opens for Kid Rock
Newsweek reports that Kid Rock is currently on his Rock The Country Tour, which will make two-day stops in seven small towns and cities across the country from April to July, and the conservative singer will visit Louisiana, Florida, Missouri, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia and South Carolina.
Carlson surprised Kid Rock with his performance in Gonzales last weekend, and he took the opportunity to defend the United States in beautiful fashion.
“I’m here tonight because Kid Rock and I were having dinner at home a few months ago,” Carlson began. “He said, ‘You should come open for my summer tour.’ I said, ‘Well, of course I’d be honored, but I don’t play an instrument. The fact is, I’m an unemployed talk show host, so I What’s going to happen on your show? He said, and I quote now, ‘You’re going to get it, and you’re going to love it.
“That was two months ago,” he continued. “I woke up this morning and I thought, I have to go to Gonzales, Louisiana, to open for Kid Rock. What am I going to say? I didn’t know until I got here.
Carlson defends America
It was then that Carlson began to defend the United States against accusations from the left that it was “done.”
“The country they tell me online is terrible,” Carlson said. “When I walk through this group of people, or when I wake up in a small town of 100 people in a rural area, the country I experience is a beautiful country full of beautiful people.”
Carlson went on to say that he was drawn to a cross-like lighting installation at the Gonzales venue because it was “a shape that I like.”
“When I walked out [to the rig], this chick was right in front of me,” Carlson recalled. “She had two nose rings, a cross necklace and a Trump bracelet. She looked me right in the face and said, ‘Ahhh! ” She said: “I love you. ” I said: “I love you too. ” I mean it. I think, this is the America I know. A little weird, a little crazy, loving, and beautiful. That’s who I’m introducing.
Carlson concluded by saying that the trek to small town America to open for Kid Rock was “worth it.”
“Can you put a price on a free life in the last free country? So let me tell you, my fellow Americans, what we have got. All of us gathered here tonight are free people, and we owe it to our country to Love and unity under God,” Carlson said. “In the name of that country and God, we’re here to celebrate a party that won’t stop. So, as far as I know, please be as loud and disobedient as possible for Kid Rock.
