Tuesday with Goni: Five Star’s latest intel
As the July visiting window closes and the season begins, join Rivals National Recruiting Director Gorney today on Tuesday Adam Gorney Detailed analysis of what he’s heard from numerous five-stars (committed and uncommitted) in the class of 2025.
Rumor mill: Summer visitation is over, but the buzz is growing
Both Oklahoma and Texas are loaded with confidence, which makes Fasusi’s recruitment even more interesting.
News coming out of media day in Louisville, Texas, the Five Star star says he’s made up his mind, but he won’t reveal what will become a classic Bill Bedenbaugh and Kyle Flood recruitment.
One thing seems very clear here: This is a two-team game, with both the Longhorns and Sooners privately expressing a level of confidence.

Miami and USC are the finalists, but with Georgia having long been a front-runner in Griffin’s recruiting, there’s a question of how confident those two programs are.
There may be a glimmer of hope, as the Savannah Christian School standout still hasn’t committed to the Bulldogs despite every opportunity to do so, but it seems like he’s just waiting for the right time — possibly signing early on Period – get it done.
There is currently no significant intelligence indicating that he has traveled elsewhere.

A final decision should be made soon. The five-star USC prospect is unlikely to enter his senior season as his recruitment is still up in the air, so the choice is essentially to stick with the Trojans or turn to Auburn, Colorado or Indiana, but that’s hard to believe .
As the quarterback lottery continues, it’s no shock that the Tigers are pursuing Notre Dame’s Deuce Knight heavily.

The Birmingham (Ala.) Parker five-star cornerback has been committed to Ohio State since February and has grown close with five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez, So his prospects of staying with the Buckeyes are very good.
Beyond that, Auburn and Alabama have been pushing hard, and as signing day approaches — and the prospect of leaving the South becomes even more of a focus — that could be something to watch. Neither the Tigers nor the Crimson Tide are giving up here.

During the final weekend of the July visit, Sanders visited Nebraska and Tennessee, with Ohio State and Georgia rounding out his top four.
The Huskers rolled out the red carpet and definitely showed him a lot of love, as the Buckeyes have long been pursuing the five-star offensive tackle from Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day, But there’s a lot of smoke around Tennessee. While Ohio State is still there, his commitment on Aug. 17 appears to be heading in that direction.

Alabama, Florida and Georgia are the final three spots the five-star defensive lineman from Manchester, Ga., could defer to the early signing period. But is he just extending his inevitable recommitment to the Bulldogs?
The position was negligible, as all three finalists were within a four-hour window of Manchester, but after committing early to Georgia, Terry instead committed to USC, but lost early in the offseason. This commitment was abandoned.
The Bulldogs have handled the situation well and haven’t pushed for a commitment, but Alabama and Florida State also remain in the picture, and the Crimson Tide have clearly become very tough.

Florida State may have dodged a bullet, as there have been rumors for months that Raines, the five-star OL out of Jacksonville, Fla., would either stay closer to home and head to Florida instead. Either he has fallen in love with LSU and could end up there. But one committed FSU student who visited Tallahassee with Thomas in recent weeks is now very confident Thomas will remain in the class. This may be some wishful thinking, but it also feels like a lot of the looming chatter surrounding Thomas has been lost.

There’s always an element of uncertainty when discussing Watkins’ recruitment, as he gave up early commitments to Texas A&M and Colorado before taking staff to Mississippi State, South Carolina and Indiana over the summer state.
Making firm predictions at this stage may seem reckless, especially since new projects may step in at a later stage. But he did wear Ole Miss gloves during the game Opponent five stars There was high praise for the Rebels all weekend long.

This looks to be a two-team game between Texas A&M and LSU. There’s been a lot of chatter about Oregon State, too, and should be watched closely, but my feeling from the beginning is that Ball, a five-star from Galveston (Texas), will end up closer to home in College Station, which is about 2.5 Less than five hours from Baton Rouge. This will allow family and friends to come watch him play and give Williams a chance to play for an elite defense.
The Ducks also have the highest-end coach, but will families see him every weekend, especially in the Big Ten? That’s even harder.
