Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard launched a scathing attack on MSNBC on Friday, accusing the network of manipulating the media narrative to serve the interests of Democratic elites.
In a video posted on social media, Gabbard claimed that MSNBC deceptively edited a clip of podcast host Joe Rogan to distort his comments and create the impression that he supported Kamala… The illusion of Kamala Harris.
“MSNBC has once again been exposed as a propaganda machine for the Democratic elite and how they will blatantly try to deceive the American people,” she wrote on X.
Gabbard explained that MSNBC combined two separate segments of Rogen: one in which he discussed Harris and another in which he talked about her. She claimed that this editorial strategy distorted the context of Rogan’s remarks and falsely suggested his support for Harris.
“Not sure if you guys caught this, but MSNBC was exposed today for another set of lies,” Gabbard said in the video. “They deceptively edited together videos of Joe Rogan’s different comments to make him Looks like a compliment to Kamala Harris.
“This does not reflect the truth of what Joe Rogan said at all,” she insisted. “I think MSNBC has deleted the article. But what’s really serious is that Joe Rogan not only deserves an apology, but there’s actually much more at stake.
She added: “This is yet another example of how MSNBC is working closely with Democratic elites and the Kamal Harris campaign to try to spread lies and untruths.”
The former Democratic candidate went on to say that MSNBC’s actions may have violated Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules. Gabbard said the network’s failure to reveal that its promotional efforts could be considered physical contributions to Harris’ campaign.
“MSNBC is a for-profit company,” she argued. “They are helping Kamal Harris’ campaign, and what they do through their platform will qualify as an in-kind contribution to her campaign.”
The former congresswoman called for accountability and urged the Federal Election Commission to intervene.
“It’s worth a lot of money. The fact that they’re doing this should require the Federal Election Commission, which regulates campaign spending and campaign finance, to require them to report it as in-kind campaign contributions or be punished for abusing their authority by trying to use a platform that has nothing to do with journalism.” ,”she says.
“This is purely a propaganda platform that they are using to try to help get Kamala Harris elected. These people need to be held accountable for what they have done or else they will continue to do this and continue to abuse their platform and their power to try to Lie to the American people and help get her elected,” she added.
