What makes this news so intriguing is that it comes as moviegoers around the world discuss a potential summer box office flop. similar movies angry and scapegoat Didn’t live up to expectations, leading many to wonder if dramatic movies were dead. Well, two 20-year-old movies that grossed about $2 million in a single screening certainly makes a strong argument, doesn’t it? To be fair, though, one assumes (and I can confirm, having been to theaters in Los Angeles myself) that the audience is mostly older. People who often go to the movies will always go to the movies and may have seen Lord of the Rings when the movie was first released. It was a premeditated nostalgia affair.
The good news is that Hollywood does have thousands of amazing old movies that fans are sure to watch along with new ones, such as “Inside Out 2”, “Deadpool and Wolverine”, “Trap”, or long legs. Hopefully more studios will partner with theaters or companies like Fathom to get more shows released in theaters.
