The Somins will visit the UK in July, where I will give three lectures. Two of them are open to the public, and the third is by invitation and I should be able to access it for interested academics, policy experts, members of the media, etc. Below is information on times, locations and how to get there.
I might be able to add other events. If you represent an academic or policy organization that may be of interest, please contact me.
3 July, 1-2pm (doors 12:30pm), Institute of Economic Affairs, 2 Lord North St., London: “Economic freedom for immigrants and natives” (based in part on my article of the same name). Lunch will be provided. Please contact me if interested. The IEA tentatively plans to publish a revised version of the article in the form of a briefing note, which will include some data and analysis that are particularly relevant to the UK situation.
8 July, 12pm-1.30pm, King’s College, London, Bush House NE 9.03: ‘The case against nationalism’ (partly based on an article of the same name I co-authored, but with many points adapted to the British Condition). I think there will be free food, but I’m not entirely sure.
July 10, 1-3pm, Vincennes Center Seminar Series, University of Buckingham, Enterprise Centre, Vincennes House, Buckingham, UK: “Free to Move: Voting on Foot Immigration and Political Freedom” (based on my namesake Book). Please post your reply and any additional information here.
