Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries is now targeting conservative Supreme Court justices, threatening to “control them.” They say Trump wants to be a dictator?

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries launched a scathing attack on the Supreme Court’s originalist justices, calling them “make America great again extremists” who need to be reined in by Congress.
Appeared on MSNBC deadline, Jeffries warned that the courts must be controlled through “legislative efforts to enforce ethical standards of conduct.”
He explained:
This is part of the challenge we face, an out-of-control Supreme Court that seems to want to appear as if the judiciary is above the law. For years, members of Congress in the House and Senate have said it was time for the Supreme Court to create an enforceable code of ethical conduct.
Chief Justice Roberts did implement a code of conduct last year, but it appears to be voluntary and ignored. So as our first opportunity in Congress, I think we need to have a real conversation about legislative efforts to impose an enforceable ethical code of conduct on the Supreme Court. They are currently the only branch of government that can operate with impunity.
Congress has established legally enforceable rules of ethical conduct. The executive branch establishes ethical codes of conduct that are enforceable by law. We must rein in the “MAGA” extremists on the Supreme Court.
Jeffries must have missed an episode of School House Rock as a kid or fell asleep in civics class. It is not the job of members of Congress to “control” members of the Supreme Court. Democrats have made clear their target is the Supreme Court.
Democrats have previously called for court packing and abolition, and now they want to control the actions of judges.
