It’s all an illusion. Trump even stepped to the side and appeared to greet the crowd, but it was clear there was no crowd there. Trump is waving to imaginary people. Trump continues to try to project support and power, but the big question remains, where are his people? If Trump supporters were so angry about his conviction, why didn’t they show up outside Trump Tower to show their support?
Trump’s supporters have repeatedly shown that they don’t care about the former president’s criminal case by absenting himself from Trump’s court appearances. None of this is enough to prove they won’t support him in November, but the former president has been peddling the fantasy that his conviction has mobilized legions of supporters despite a lack of evidence to back up the claim.
