Independent and Republican voters in a Fox News digital focus group appeared to have mixed reactions to President Joe Biden and former President Trump feuding over their respective cognitive abilities and golf handicaps, with Democrats generally disapproving.
During Thursday night’s CNN presidential debate, CNN host Dana Bash addressed how old Biden and Trump will be at the end of a potential second four-year term.
Biden will be 86 and Trump will be 82.

“I took two cognitive tests and aced both,” Trump said. “He didn’t get anything, and I’d like to see him get one, just one.”
“I just won two club championships, not even the senior championship, but two regular club championships. To do that, you have to be very smart. And you have to be able to hit the ball very far,” the former president continued said.

Biden defended his age, saying he “has been criticized for half my career as the youngest person in politics. I was the second-youngest person ever to serve in the U.S. Senate and now I’m the oldest .
“Listen, I’m excited to have a driving contest with him,” Biden said.
“I’ve seen you swing. I know your swing,” Trump shot back. “Let’s not act like kids.”

Biden responded: “You’re still a kid.”
Republicans and independents approved of Trump’s remarks, while Democrats did not, according to Fox Digital’s focus group Dial.
Likewise, Democratic support soared during Biden’s response, while support among independents and Republican voters fell sharply.
Focus group participants reacted instantly to Biden and Trump, turning knobs to express approval or disapproval. In the video embedded in this story, the sentiments of Republican participants are shown in red, Democrats in blue, and independents in yellow.
