Senator J.D. Vance told ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday that the Trump administration’s mass deportations should start “with the deportation of one million” illegal aliens.
Former President Donald Trump said he would deport 15 to 20 million people who are here illegally if he is re-elected.
ABC News anchor Jonathan Carr asked: “One of the proposals in the platform that you and Trump talked about was mass deportations. You said he said he would start deporting the easy people, the criminals, the people who committed crimes. , but he said to expel 15 million to 20 million people, how did you actually do that?
“We have to start with the fact that we have a fully open southern border because our border czar has a lot of open border policies,” Vance responded.
Carr, covering for Vice President Kamala Harris, replied: “You know she’s not a border czar.”
“That’s what the media calls her. She’s inherited the title,” Vance asserted.
Carl asked, “Are you going to knock on doors and ask people for their IDs?”
“That’s the wrong attitude, isn’t it?” Vance replied.

“There are 20 million illegal immigrants here,” the hopeful vice president continued. “You start with what’s achievable. You do that, and then you can achieve something from there. If you deport large numbers of violent criminals, and frankly, if you make it more difficult to hire illegal workers, I think you’re solving There’s been a lot of progress on illegal immigration. But look, President Trump is absolutely right. You can’t have a border unless you’re willing to deport some people. I think what’s interesting is that people are focused on how to deport 1800. Thousands of people? Let’s start with 1 million. That’s where Kamala Harris failed and we can start there.
