Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in Paris, France on July 10 at 9 a.m. ET. The company hasn’t been coy about at least a few things it’s talked about – graphics in its announcement video clearly hint at a foldable device, and part of the video’s description reads “Galaxy AI is here.” You can watch the live broadcast on YouTube or its website.
The event will be about more than just foldable phones and pre-announced device pre-order discounts. Samsung regularly releases Galaxy phones on its website other Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year, so that’s out of the way, but we’ll likely hear about other stuff as well, including new Samsung watch products and, of course, the Galaxy Ring.
galaxy ring
Samsung’s Galaxy Ring announcement in January was little more than a joke, but the company gave reporters a chance to play with a prototype at Mobile World Congress in February, revealing colors and ring dimensions, as well as information about what data its sensors will collect. . We’re curious to know how much this thing will cost, what kind of health sensors it will come with, and when it will be available.
It’s currently rumored to cost around $300 or $350, and Samsung may launch a fitness and health subscription service. But other than that and FCC test records revealing battery capacity, Samsung Galaxy Ring showrooms revealed little.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6
A lot of information about the Galaxy Z foldable phone has been leaked. The Z Fold 6 appears to have a newer, squarer design, a brighter screen, and longer battery life, although the battery size is the same as its predecessor, at 4,400mAh.
The clamshell Flip 6 may have minor changes compared to the previous model, but it’s expected to see some other key updates as well. In addition to a similar brightness boost to the Fold 6, the phone will likely have a brighter screen like its larger sibling, as well as a vapor chamber cooling system and either a 4,000mAh battery or a 3,790mAh battery, depending on the rumor ( battery capacity of the current model). The secondary screen may be an IPS panel instead of OLED.
Both phones are expected to be lighter, thinner and powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors.
Galaxy Artificial Intelligence
Samsung has been quick to jump on the artificial intelligence bandwagon, and at least some of its Galaxy AI features are already available or applied to all types of Galaxy phones and devices — not just the latest and greatest. So far, Galaxy AI has been full of bets on artificial intelligence: things like on-device and in-call audio and text translation, photo and video editing, and Google’s Circle to Search feature. Now is the company’s chance to stand out.
Samsung Galaxy Watch
Samsung may talk about its next-generation Galaxy Watch series. So far, rumors suggest that the regular Watch 7 will have more of the same features. Samsung has already released a budget Galaxy Watch FE, but it may launch a smartwatch called the Galaxy Watch 7 “Ultra” .
The Watch 7 Ultra looks like a bigger, badder watch with a squirrel-shaped case, but the dial is still round. The chunky watch seen in leaked renders appears to be the company’s answer to the Apple Watch Ultra, so much so that it appears to have a third button that might function similarly to Apple’s action button. It even appears to feature Samsung’s interpretation of Apple’s proprietary slide-in strap connector – meaning you probably won’t be able to use your old Galaxy Watch straps with this one.
New Galaxy Buds
The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra isn’t the only product that’s clearly borrowed design cues from Apple – according to leaked information so far, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 apparently look a lot like Apple’s third-generation AirPods, but with angular stems , instead of round, and the colors are blue and blue. The “Pro” model looks a little different, with a matte gray finish. Someone on Reddit claims to have purchased a pair at Walmart in the US for $250, so it looks like they’re already in retail stores (on some shelves, apparently).
