Whatsapp appears to be working on a new generative artificial intelligence feature that should allow users to make their own personalized avatars that can be used in any imaginable environment. In order to create a personalized avatar, WhatsApp users need to “take a picture of themselves once,” which is then used to train Meta AI to generate images similar to the user in any environment. WhatsApp users can then generate their own avatar by typing “imagine me” and describe the settings in a Meta AI chat, or by typing “@Meta AI imagine me…” in other WhatsApp conversations.
