Donald Trump is already making excuses for this debate

At Trump’s rally in Raising, Wisconsin, the one-term president said something that at first glance appeared to be yet another baseless slur against his opponent.
Trump said:
Now we’re going to watch, will anyone watch the debate? He would be so excited, he would be so excited. You know, all the stuff that the White House lost about a month ago. What happened? Who, who left it? Someone left it there.
I, I wonder, let’s see, someone left a laptop in a gentleman’s office and he was supposed to fix the laptop from hell but he never picked it up and didn’t Cocaine worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was found. I wonder who that might be. I don’t know, actually, I think it’s Joe, if you’re one of them.

What is Trump so afraid of?
This is a valid question. If Biden is as weak and senile as Republicans portray him to be, why is their nominee making excuses for his poor performance in the first presidential debate?
This doesn’t make sense.
If President Biden is truly so uninterested, then Donald Trump should look forward to a debate with President Biden. He should not preemptively make excuses for his failure.
Donald Trump is afraid of Joe Biden, which is why he is trying to force Ukraine to create dirt that can be used against Biden in the 2020 election.
Trump is so afraid of Biden that he was impeached for withholding congressional aid to Ukraine as part of an extortion plot.
Donald Trump has been afraid of Biden for years. Is it because Biden is the real deal, and every time he and Trump stand side by side, the truth becomes obvious?
Only Donald J. Trump knows for sure, but he gives off the air of a convicted felon who knows he doesn’t belong here.
