‘Yakuza: Like a Dragon’ Coming to Prime Video

After a successful runaway fall outAmazon Prime Video is set to release another live-action adaptation of a beloved video game series this fall.

Like a Dragon: Like a Dragon will be released on October 24th, and if the first trailer is any indication, a lot of What makes Sega Like a dragon Such a popular game is already in place. We get our first look at series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, played by Ryoma Takeuchi, and new actor Kento Kaku as Akira Nishikiyama, Kiryu’s childhood best friend and a major character in the first game in the series.

Beyond that, there are brief shots of Kamurocho (the semi-fictional Tokyo neighborhood where much of the show takes place) and Kiryu’s iconic dragon tattoo. It’s unclear if the show will feature some of the game’s goofier elements, such as a recurring group of criminals dressed like adult babies, but we’ll all find out together in October.
